This page describes the personal data collected on the website latruffiereperigord.com, how it is used and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

Data controller
The data controller is Storybook OÜ, owner of La Truffière, with its registered office at Tähe 129b, 50113 Tartu, Estonia, represented by Marie Rosin (see the legal notice). For any question about your data, use the contact form.
Data collected
The website has no user accounts and collects personal data in two cases only.
- Contact form. When you write to us, we collect your name, your email address, the dates of stay and number of guests you are asking about, your message, and the date and language of your request.
- Server logs. Like any website, our server records for each request the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser used and the referring page. These logs are used solely to keep the website secure and running.
The website uses no audience measurement or advertising tracking tools.
Purposes and legal bases
The data from the form is used solely to answer your request and prepare your stay. This processing is based on the pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the consent you give by ticking the box provided.
Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and available (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your data is never sold, rented or used for marketing.
Recipients
Requests sent through the form are delivered by email to the person in charge of bookings at Storybook OÜ, who alone replies to them.
The website is designed, hosted and maintained by the data controller itself. Only Hetzner Online GmbH, which provides the servers, can technically access the data, and only as far as that service requires. The data is hosted in the European Union.
Retention periods
- Contact requests are kept for as long as needed to handle them, and for at most 3 years after our last exchange.
- Server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Cookies and third-party services
The website sets a single cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you chose. It is strictly necessary for the website to work, holds no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser. It is exempt from consent, which is why no banner is shown.
Fonts are served from our own server: no request is sent to a third-party font service.
The map of the surroundings is drawn with map tiles loaded from OpenStreetMap servers. When you open that page, your browser sends your IP address to the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom), whose processing is described in its privacy policy. No other page of the website loads external resources.
Links to Vrbo, Queyrio, Google Maps and the websites of the places featured take you to third-party services governed by their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to object to its processing. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before.
To exercise these rights, write to us through the contact form or by post at the address given in the legal notice. We will reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, or with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate, which supervises the data controller.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS and the emails carrying your requests travel over an encrypted connection. Access to the server is limited to the people who maintain it.
