Forty thousand years read in the rock face
Beneath the cliff at Les Eyzies, forty stacked archaeological layers record hunters’ camps between 35,000 and 20,000 years ago. The small museum shows the skeleton of a young Magdalenian woman and an ibex carved into the ceiling.
